Dear Participants,
just a few notes about your stay in Torino.
- First of all notice that the School web site
https://www.nucleonstructure.to.infn.it
has been updated with maps, detailed travel information and the final list of participants. You can also
find all about our Wednesday afternoon social events and conference dinner.
- The best way to go from Torino airport to Torino city center is by coach, which will take you directly to
Porta Nuova Railway Station. From there, Hotel Gran Mogol can be reached on foot, it is just round the
corner (see map and instructions on the web site). Residence Cristina52 can also be reached on foot if
you do not carry a heavy luggage (it will take about 25 min.). Otherwise, bus n. 67 will take you from
Porta Nuova right to the Residence main entrance (see map and instructions on the web site).
- Residence Cristina52 has no reception service on Saturday and Sunday, but there will be someone of us
there to let you in when you arrive. Please make sure you have taken individual arrangements with us
before leaving.
- Residence Cristina52 does not serve breakfast, but you will find coffee and snacks at the Conference
Center from about 8:30 every morning.
- Please notice that you will have to register in on Monday morning, so please make sure you arrive a little
in advance. For the participants who do not belong to the HANUC Graduate School, a conference fee of
200€ will have to be paid in cash at the registration desk.
- Last but not least, be aware of pickpockets!
especially on crowded buses and trams: never leave your
bags unattended, put your wallet in an inside pocket of your coat, hold tight your backpacks in your
hands and keep it in front of you (a very common technique is to steal wallets, cameras, cell phones or
even laptops, by simply lifting them out of backpacks worn on the shoulders while people stand in
crowded public transports).
ENJOY TORINO !
